ROLE OVERVIEW
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing of accounting transactions (journals, invoices, bills etc.)
- Preparation of monthly management reports for stakeholders.
- Presentation of management accounts and related reports to the stakeholders.
- Balance sheet recons.
- Income and Expenditure analysis.
- VAT submissions (EMP201, s, reading of VATSA’s etc.)
- Dealing with SARS related queries.
- Creditors reconciliations.
- Maintaining GL accounts i.e., correct descriptions and wording etc.
- Maintaining Fixed Asset Registers (additions, disposals, wear and tear registers)
- Banking- Generating payment instructions for payments to be made.
- Preparation and calculations of Income taxes for responsible companies.
- Develop and deliver effective reports for stakeholder utilization.
- Conduct project evaluation, financial modelling, and due diligence activities.
- Review and assess IT internal controls to maintain compliance and efficiency.
- Support the internal control environment to strengthen organizational governance.
- Provide oversight and ensure adherence to IFRS standards.
- Perform ad hoc finance functions as required to support business objectives.
- Responsible for calculation of all Statutory Payments and Company Payroll.
REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and company taxation.
- Excellent ability to problem-solve, along with solid analytical skills and understanding of the business processes.
- Good communication skills, including proficiency in delivering presentations.
- High level of accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with JDE would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
- Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Must be energetic, active and a go-getter.
- Adaptive and creative to meet deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail

- B Com Degree
